On the main unit, the time of measurement disappears and the numeric data is displayed as
" - - - ".
Cause
:
The NIBP data will be deleted when the preprogrammed NIBP erase time has
elapsed.
Solution
:
Select the appropriate time for NIBP data erase time from 60 min or 120 min which
best fits the monitoring purpose.
Although the NIBP START/STOP key is not pressed, Standby Mode is cancelled and
NIBP Periodic Measurement starts.
Cause
:
Central monitor which performs TCON communication requires NIBP Measurement
Start.
Solution
:
Since the TCON system does not Discharge information, the central monitor does not
discharge the patient even though the discharge procedure is performed on the
bedside monitor.
Stop using the TCON.
Or, when the discharge procedure is preformed on the bedside monitor, also perform
the discharge procedure on the TCON central monitor.

The sensor is detached from the patient.

Cause
:
The amplitude of the pulse waveform is too low, or the sensor is not positioned
correctly.
Solution
:
Check if the light emitting and light receiving parts of the sensor LED are aligned.

-* No Pulse Detect” message is displayed on the main unit.
Cause
:
The amplitude of the pulse waveform is too low, or the sensor is not positioned
correctly.
Solution
:
Check if the light emitting and light receiving parts of the sensor LED are aligned.

-* Motion Artifact” message is displayed on the main unit.
Cause
:
There is excessive body motion of the patient.
Solution
:
Relocate the sensor to which body motion will have less influence.
The pulse waveform is not displayed, or interrupted on the main unit.

:

Cause 1
:
The amplitude of the pulse waveform is too low, or the sensor is not positioned
correctly.
Solution
:
Check if the light emitting and light receiving parts of the sensor LED are aligned.

The sensor is defective.
Solution
:
Replace the sensor.
Cause 3
:
SpO
2
sensor is not firmly connected to the SpO
2
input connector.
Solution
:
Make sure the SpO
2
sensor is securely connected.
Cause 4
:
Sensor is exposed to light.
Solution
:
Place a black or dark cloth over the sensor to avoid direct sunlight. When not used,
avoid placing the sensor in light or unplug the sensor from the connector.
