SDRAM
SDRAM holds various data. It conducts backup operation for approximately 5 minutes, and backs
up the recall and trend data. Also, the program stored in the flash memory is loaded in the SDRAM
and executed after starting.
SRAM
SRAM stores memory for Monitor Setup. Using the lithium battery, backup is available for
approximately 6 years.
EEPROM
EEPROM stores equipment-specific information such as serial number, MAC address, and
operation time of system and components.
Monitoring WDT and Power Supply
Resets the system if the program functions abnormally or power voltage reduction of CPU is
detected.
A/D converter
The CPU built-in A/D converter always monitors the status of each power voltage on the board,
board temperature and inside housing temperature.
System control CPLD
System control CPLD generates the control signal such as CS or W/R for the peripheral device. In
addition, it controls the short-term backup battery charge.
RTC (Real Time Clock)
RTC (Real Time Clock) is IC exclusively for timing. As with SRAM, RTC operates with the power
supply from the long-term back-up battery (lithium battery) while the power is turned OFF (while the
power is ON, RTC operates with the external power supply). The main CPU obtains the time/date
from the RTC during start-up, and then the main CPU conducts the timing by itself. The RTC is
backed up for approximately 6 years using lithium battery.
LCDC (VIDEO controller)
LCDC (VIDEO controller) has the function of display controller and serial communication controller.
Using SDRAMs, superimpose displays are realized. As the serial communication controller, LCDC
contains the functions of asynchronous communications and synchronous communications.
LCD interface
The LCDC (VIDEO controller) output is converted to the LVDS signal by the LVDS transmitter, and
outputted to the LCD module.
Sound source
FM oscillator IC and audio DA converter are used for the sound source. FM oscillator is used for the
signal output such as pulse or key tone. PCM data is used for alarm and boot/shutdown sound and
audio DA converter produces a sound.
Board Power Supply (DC/DC converter, series regulator)
Receives the power supply from the HSB-80 HS Adapter, and generates the power voltage to be
used inside the board or other module block.
CF Card controller
A special PCMCIA controller controls the CF Card. The CF Card is used to upgrade the program or
to store the monitor setup or patient data.
