5.8.10 Backup & restore
System menu System configuration Backup
This menu is used to save/restore system configurations and error logs as well as to reset the parameters to
factory settings.
Restore backup
After connecting a USB storage device, a search is carried
out for possible recovery files and displayed in the drop-
down field.
❒ Select the desired backup file in the drop-down field
❒ Tap on the restore icon (see “Restore configuration
from file”)
❒ Confirm the security prompt
Backing up data
▪ Save configuration to file
A prerequisite for the backup is the connection of a
suitable USB storage device. When saving, a CFG file is
automatically created. The file name is a combination of
customer number, manufacturer number, date and time.
▪ Save error log to file
A prerequisite for the backup is the connection of a
suitable USB storage device. When saving, an FPR file is
automatically created. The file name is a combination of
customer number, manufacturer number, date and time.
The file can be opened with the Froling visualisation
software.
Factory settings
▪ Set all parameters to factory default
Tap the icon to reset the SPS 4000 to the factory default
settings. All the settings for the boiler and the boiler
system, as well as the customer-specific parameters will
be lost.

(Urinit)
Tap the icon to reset the SPS 4000 to the factory default
settings. All the settings for the boiler and the boiler
system, as well as the customer-specific parameters will
be lost. In addition, all hardware configurations are deleted
with this function.
Default values
▪ Load default values for the boiler
When tapping the icon, the SPS 4000 is reset to the preset
settings when the currently selected boiler type is selected.
