The transducer damping mats are mounted lengthwise on the pipe. The pipe damping mats can be mounted lengthwise
or crosswise on the pipe. In this example, they are mounted crosswise.
Number of transducer damping mats
The transducer damping mats are mounted along the pipe circumference with a width of 2 × 1400 mm.
number of transducer damping mats to be mounted: 2 × 1400 mm / 225 mm = 2 × 6.2
2 × 6 damping mats (600 mm × 225 mm) + 2 × 1 damping mat (600 mm × 50 mm)
Number of pipe damping mats
The pipe damping mats are mounted along the entire pipe circumference.
pipe circumference: 2πr = 3770 mm
number of pipe damping mats to be mounted: 2 × 600 mm / 225 mm = 2 × 2.7
The value is rounded up.
2 × 3 pipe damping mats (3770 mm × 225 mm)
The damping mats can be cut into smaller pieces to facilitate the installation.
