3.4.2 I/O diagnostic interface
Detailed diagnostic information can be accessed via the I/O
diagnostic interface, e.g.:
You can ascertain on which module and on which channel
a fault has occurred.
The last 40 fault messages are recorded and can be
accessed (Diag. Trace).
16 input bits and 16 output bits, via which all diagnostic data
can be read, are available for accessing the system diagnosis.
Please note
In order to use the I/O diagnostic interface, the system
diagnosis must be activated with the DIL switch on the
field bus node.
The addresses of the inputs and outputs of the I/O diagnostic
interface always occupy the first 16 I/O bits in the word range
of station 2 (see section 2.1.2).
