chine, do not use metal objects and avoid damag-
ing internal parts.

WARNING:

Certain types of dust produced by me-

chanical polishing, sawing, grinding and drilling, to-
gether with other construction activities, contain
chemical agents which are known to cause cancer,
congenital and other similar defects. Some examples
of the chemical agents are given below: the lead in
lead-based paint, crystalline silica from bricks and
cement and other masonry products, and also arse-
nic and chromium from chemically treated wood. The
risk deriving from this type of exposure varies and
depends on the frequency with which this type of
work is carried out. In order to reduce exposure to
these chemical agents: work in a well ventilated area
and work with approved safety equipment, such as
face masks which are specially designed to filter out
microscopic particles.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

This polisher has been designed to polish, tint, burnish,
polish fine steel, heavy metals, shine all types of sur-
faces for construction and industry and to remove paint
and rust from metal surfaces.

BEFORE USING THIS TOOL

Before using the tool, make sure the mains voltage is
correct: it must be the same as that on the specification
label. Machines with 230V can also be connected to a
220-V mains supply.

FITTING SAFETY DEVICES

WARNING!

Always unplug the machine before carrying

out work on it.

1.1. Assembly of the protection of the disk (Fig.3)

Insert the protection

F

in the plate collar of the machine

and turn it to the work position required.
If the protection does not insert into the collar of the
machine, loosen the screw

K

WARNING!

To assemble the protection, it is neces-

sary that the closed part of the protection is always
facing the user.

1.2. Fitting the auxiliary handle B (M10)

Use of the auxiliary handle is obligatory in order to ensure
greater control and safety when handling the tool.
The auxiliary handle

B

must be screwed on to the

right or left side, depending on the type of work to be
carried out.

1.3. Fitting the auxiliary handle E (M8) (Fig.2)

Insert the auxiliary handle

E

 in the protection

F

 and fix it

in place with the nut

I

 using a wrench.

FITTING THE ACCESSORIES (DISCS AND WHEELS)

ATTENTION!

For safety reasons, you should always

disconnect the machine from the power source before
changing the smoothing disk.
Always wear safety goggles.
The smoothing disks should be protected from bumps
and blows.

WARNING!

Never press the blocking button when the

machine is running. The shaft must have stopped com-
pletely before the blocking button is pressed.

To change the smoothing disk, proceed in the following
manner (Fig.2):

1. Block the spindle (shaft), by pressing the blocking

button

C

2. With the hex wrench, unscrew the screw

H

, remove

the washer

G

 and remove the smoothing disk

D

 from

the screw press.

3. Place the new smoothing disk in the screw press of

the burnishing tool.

4. Replace the washer and screw on the screw with the

help of the hexagonal key.

5. Once the disc is fitted, check that the blocking button

has returned to its original position due to movement
of the incorporated spring.

Attention! Always use the adjustment key J.

STARTING THE TOOL

WARNING!

Check that the mains voltage is the same as

that in the machine’s specifications.
Plug the machine in with the switch off.
Start the machine by turning the switch

A

 to position

"ON". To switch off, do the same in reverse.

Constant electronic performance and speed adjustment

The built-in module enables soft start and for the rated
speed to be maintained practically constant until the
rated power is reached.
The electronic speed regulator enables the speed to
be set to different positions from 1 to 6. The most
appropriate speed should be selected according to the
part to be polished.

PRECAUTION:

The speed regulator can only be turned

to position 6 and then be returned to position 1. It must
never be forced beyond 6 or 1, since this could cause
damage to the machine.

WORKING INSTRUCTIONS

When polishing, the part being worked must be fixed in
place unless its own weight can maintain it in a stable
position. The machine should be firmly held in both
hands. Switch the machine on and wait for it to reach
maximum speed. Then carefully apply the machine to
the surface to be polished.
Heavy force should never be applied to the ma-
chine. Excessive pressure may lead to jams, motor
over-heating, burning of the part being polished and
kick backs.
Use the appropriate smoothing disks according to
the surface to polish/sand and according to the
desired results.

PRECAUTION:

 During polisher operation, the electrical

cable should always be kept behind to prevent it being
trapped.

ACCESSORIES

Accessories and their corresponding order number can
be found in our catalogues.
They are basically 2 types of smoothing disks:

1. Red disks:

ideal for smoothing jobs because they are

made with corundum.
1.1  Fine Scotch: for a finer finish.
1.2  Medium Scotch: for a medium finish.
1.3  Mixed: intermediate finish between medium Scotch

and abrasive cloth
