Using The Evinrude MFE Outboard

engine. Refer to

Engine Overheating

on

page 26.

Engine Stopping

Twist the throttle grip to SLOWEST speed po-

sition.
Move shift lever to NEUTRAL.
Press the engine cut–off switch until the out-

board stops running. If equipped, close the

vent screw on the fuel tank’s filler cap.

Disconnecting the Fuel Hose

Disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel con-

nector.

If equipped, close vent screw on fuel tank cap.
