5.2.8. Embedded AIC
The Embedded AIC (Audio Input Correction) tab contains controls for adjustment of the 16 embedded
audio channels present on the input video.
This purpose of audio input correction is to apply correction to an input signal before it is routed through
other audio processing modules. For instance, the same input audio channel may feed both the
embedded output mixer and the down-mix mixer. Rather than having to adjust the channel in two
locations, a single adjustment can be made using the audio input correction controls.
Figure 5-15 illustrates the layout of the controls in the VistaLINK® PRO configuration view.

Embedded Audio Input Channel Select:
This control allows the user to select
Input Channels 1-8
(Groups 1&2)
or
Input Channels 9-16 (Groups 3 & 4)
Input Gain Controls
The
Gain
control enables the user to set the value of the gain for the selected input audio channel.
The user can adjust the gain of the selected channel between -24 dB to +24 dB. Gain is adjustable be
0.1 dB increments.
Inversion Control
The
Inversion
control is used to invert the incoming audio channel. This control enables the user to
invert the phase or pass the selected audio channel. By selecting
Normal,
the module will pass the
audio channel through with no phase alteration. By selecting
Invert,
the module will invert the phase
of the audio channel.
