Global Status 

Genlock Standard: 

This field displays if a valid video reference has been detected on the selected 

reference input. It reports the detected reference video standard when a valid reference is applied. 
 

Global Traps 

External Genlock Std Present:

  Enabling this trap will trigger a fault when an external genlock 

signal is either not present or the module is unable to detect a valid supported reference video 
standard. 

 

Auto Reference Fail-over 

By enabling this option the user will set enable automatic reference failover for the device in the case 
of a loss of reference. 
 

Priority 1 Reference: 

This control allows the user to set the main reference. If present, this 

reference will be used as the source to the module. 

 
Priority 2 Reference: 

This control allows the user to set the second reference in the case of a 

failure or loss of the priority 1 reference signal. 
 

Priority 3 Reference: 

This control allows the user to set the third reference in the case of a failure or 

loss of the priority 1 and 2 reference signals. 
 

Auto Reference Valid Timeout: 

This control allows the user to select the amount of time (in frames) 

a reference has to be valid before it is considered to be present and can be locked to. 

 
Auto Reference Invalid Timeout: 

This control allows the user to select the amount of time (in 

frames) a reference has to be missing before it is considered to be absent. 

 
Auto Reference Status: 

This field displays the active priority and reference source of the auto 

reference failover.  

 

Auto Reference Trap Enable: 

This field allows the user to enable an event trap which will notify of 

any changes in the reference source.

The IP tab presents the 7847FSEDA networking configuration controls. Figure  5-4  illustrates the IP 
controls as presented in the IP tab of the global configuration view. 
 

 

NOTE: 

The 7847FSEDA does not support configuration of the DATA port. It is not used 

on the 7847FSEDA. The DATA port is used exclusively for IP streaming encoded video. 
This is an available option [+SLKE2] on the 7815VPDA.
