5.1.5. Fiber RX
The Fiber RX tab contains all control and status related to the optical fiber SFP receiver. If the Fiber
receiver SFP is not installed in the correct location on the 7847FSEDA rear-plate, the status will report
‘Not detected’ and ‘N/A’.
Figure 5-6 illustrates the layout of the controls in the VistaLINK® PRO global configuration view.

Part Name: This field displays the part name for the detected SFP fiber module.
Firmware: This field displays the current firmware type running on the SFP fiber module.
Version: This field displays the current firmware version of the SFP fiber modules.
Laser 1 Receive Power:
This field reports laser 1 received power measured by the SFP in dBm.
Laser 2 Receive Power:
This field reports laser 2 received power measured by the SFP in dBm.
Low Power Fault Threshold:
This control allows the user to set the receive power threshold below
which the low power faults will be triggered for either laser 1 and/or laser 2.
Trap Enable and Trap Status
To enable/disable a specific fault trap, check/uncheck the corresponding checkbox.
Temperature Fault: This trap will trigger when the receiver module exceeds 100
o
C.
Laser Receive Low Power Fault: This trap will trigger when the receiver power level drops below
the Low Power Fault Threshold specified above.
