Frame Synchronizer and Distribution Amplifier
Revision 0.1

Horizontal Phase Offset:
This control allows users to set the horizontal timing of the output video
with respect to the reference input set by the
Reference Select
control. There are independent H
Phase Offset controls for each video path. Setting
H Phase Offset = 0
maintains the horizontal timing
alignment of the output video with respect to the reference input. Increasing the value will delay the
output video in one-sample increments of the output video standard. In order to advance the
horizontal timing of the output video with respect to the reference, set the control to its maximum
value minus the number of samples that you wish to advance the output video with respect to
reference.
Added Video Delay:
This control is used to add additional frames of delay to the video. Up to an
additional 12 frames of delay can be added.
Loss of Video Mode:
This control defines the action that will be taken when the input video is lost.
Options include freezing output video on the last good frame of input video, or forcing the output
video to black or blue.
Force Freeze Frame:
This control allows the user to manually freeze frame the output video.
Video Monitor
The
Video Monitor
section enables the user to view the status of video related parameters. Each
video status is used to report the following information:
SDI Video Standard:
This field reports the currently detected video standard on the SDI input. If the
module is unable to detect a valid input standard, it will report ‘Not present’
Fiber Video Standard:
This field reports the currently detected video standard on the Fiber input. If
the module is unable to detect a valid input standard, it will report ‘Not present’
Video Input Source:
This field reports which input is actively sourcing the program outputs. It will
report either SDI or Fiber.
DA Output Video Source Status:
This field reports which input is actively sourcing the DA outputs.
It will report either SDI or Fiber.
Video Payload ID:
This field reports the detected video payload ID on the incoming video. The
information is displayed according to SMPTE 352 descriptions.
Video Delay:
This field reports the active video processing delay/latency through the module in
milliseconds (ms).
Video Traps
To enable/disable a specific fault trap, check/uncheck the corresponding checkbox.
SDI Video Present:
This trap will trigger when the SDI video is no longer present.
Fiber Video Present:
This trap will trigger when the video is no longer present on fiber.
NOTE:
The audio delay will always track the video delay. If additional frames of video
delay are added, the audio delay will automatically adjust accordingly.
