Audio Control
Audio Delay:
This control allows the user to adjust the audio delay +/- 350.00 ms. This delay is
relative to the delay that the module automatically inserts to match video path delay. The audio delay
can be adjusted with single sample precision.
NOTE:
To advance the audio relative to video (
negative delay
), the video path must first
be delayed using the
Added Video Delay
control on the Video tab (See Section 5.2.1
SRC Mode:
This control allows the user to adjust the operating mode of the sample rate converter
(SRC). By selecting
Enable,
sample rate converters for PCM audio are enabled. By selecting
Bypass,
the sample rate converters are bypassed. By selecting
Auto,
the module will automatically
detect either PCM or non-PCM audio and automatically turn on or off the SRCs as required.
Embedder Group 1 – 4 Output:
This control allows the user to enable or disable the insertion of the
corresponding audio group into the outgoing serial digital video. By selecting
Enable,
audio
embedding for the selected group will be enabled. By selecting
Disable,
audio embedding for the
selected group will be disabled.
C-Bit:
This control allows the user to set the C-Bit control option. By selecting
Preserve,
the option
preserves/passes the C-Bit data from the audio inputs to the audio outputs. By selecting
Replace,
the C-Bit data is reauthored to default values by the module.
Audio Monitor
SRC Status:
This field displays the status of the Sample Rate Converter (SRC). The SRC status
will display either
enable
or
bypass
.
Audio Delay:
This field displays the current active delay/latency through the audio processing path
in milliseconds (
ms).
Video Delay:
Reports the active video processing delay/latency through the module in milliseconds
(ms).
Embedded Group 1 Input:
This field displays the presence of embedded audio group 1.
NOTE:
All SRCs are set to bypass as soon as a source of non-PCM audio is detected
within any of the 16 internally processed audio channels.
NOTE:
The BYPASS setting should always be used for non-PCM audio.
NOTE:
The audio delay will track the video delay unless the audio delay has been
adjusted with respect to video delay using the
Audio Delay
control.
