5.1.6. Fiber TX
The Fiber TX tab contains all control and status related to the optical fiber SFP transmitters. The
7847FSEDA supports up to 4 SFP modules (2 modules per video path). If the Fiber transmitter SFP is
not installed in the specific location on the 7847FSEDA rear-plate, the status will report ‘Not detected’
and ‘N/A’.
Figure 5-7 illustrates the layout of the controls in the VistaLINK® PRO global configuration view

Fiber Tx Module Select:
These option buttons select which fiber SFP transmitter controls to actively
display.
Part Name:
This field displays the part name for the detected SFP fiber module.
Firmware:
This field displays the current firmware type running on the SFP fiber module.
Version:
This field displays the firmware version of the SFP fiber modules.
Laser 1 Wavelength:
This field reports the transmitted wavelength of laser 1 in nanometres (nm).
Laser 2 Wavelength:
This field reports the transmitted wavelength of laser 2 in nanometres (nm).
Trap Enable and Trap Status
To enable a specific Fault trap, the small box beside the relevant fault and ensure that a check mark
appears in the box. To disable a specific Fault Trap, click the small box beside the relevant fault and
ensure that a check mark does not appear in the box.
Temperature Fault:
This trap will trigger when the transmitter module exceeds 100
o
C.
Laser Fault:
This trap will trigger when the transmitter detects a fault in either of the lasers.
