Examine the Current Heads pattern; the c’s should align with the
black lines. If any of the "+"s don’t align, perform the procedure for adjust-
ing the alignment values.

To adjust the alignment values
1 Examine the vertical and horizontal head calibration patterns. For each
color, determine the horizontal and vertical calibration values which align
the inner cross mark with the outer black lines.
ADJ. CART. = YELLOW
HORZ = 0 VERT = 0
2 The blinking square is at the F3 position to permit the ink cartridge head of
another color to be selected for calibration. To change the head color, use
the up and down Position keys.
To move the blinking square to the HORZ position, press F2. Use the up
and down Position keys to input the horizontal calibration value that you
determined in Step 1.
Move the blinking square to the VERT position using the F4 key. Use the up
and down Position keys to input the vertical calibration value you deter-
mined in Step 1.
3 After repeating Step 2 for yellow, magenta and cyan, press Enter to print
the calibration patterns again and complete calibration of the ink cartridge
positions. If the calibrated results are not satisfactory, repeat the procedure.
4 When the positions of the ink cartridges are satisfactorily calibrated, press
the PAUSE key to return to READY status.
