The connector has an automatic shutoff to prevent ink from leaking out of

the line, but a few drops will exist inside the connector. Carefully wipe this

excess ink from each connector using a paper towel before proceeding.

After the ink supply lines have been detached from the ink tanks, get ready

to remove the ink from the ink supply lines. First of all, prepare one cup of

distilled water.

Be sure to use distilled water when removing ink from the ink supply lines.

If tap water or other water is used, the impurities contained in such water

may damage the ink cartridge heads. Distilled water can be purchased at a

pharmacy or drug store.

Take the suction pumps for ink induction and the ink extraction adapters

out of the ink tool kit.

Attach one ink extraction adapter to each suction pump.
