2 Assuming that the media’s thickness is “t”, the blade length “r” should be
equal or slightly greater than “t”. Make sure that “r” is never greater than the
combined thickness of the media and its release liner.
Note: if you are using Go vinyl, extend the blade 2 to 2.5 mm to prevent the
blade holder from riding on the media coating and clogging. Reduce the
speed to 20, and reduce to force to ~14.
If the media’s thickness cannot be accurately determined, adjust the blade
length by gradually increasing it until only traces of the blade appear on the
liner when running a cutting test.

To install the cutter pen
1 To attach a cutter pen, first switch the printer to Cutting mode. If the printer
is not in Cutting mode, switch it to PAUSE status and then select Cutting
mode. When Cutting mode is entered, the coupling with the ink cartridge
carriage is disconnected and the cutter pen carriage waits in standby at its
home position.
2 Loosen the screw on the cutter pen holder by turning it in the direction
indicated by the arrow in the figure below, and then insert the cutter pen
into the holder.
