4 Insert the new blade into the hole in the plunger cap. In case of the 0.9-
mm diameter blade, insert the blade with the spring attached into the
plunger cap.
5 With the blade inserted in the plunger cap, screw on the plunger from
above.
Adjusting the Blade Length
CAUTION
To avoid cutting your fingers, handle the cutter blade with
caution.
Make sure to correctly adjust the blade length to suit the thickness of the
media to be cut. Accurate cutting results can be achieved only if the blade
length is properly adjusted.
If the blade protrudes excessively, you may damage the cutter
blade or the printer.
Adjust the blade length using the cutter pen’s blade length adjustment knob.

To adjust the blade length
1 As shown in the figure below, turn the blade length adjustment knob in
the A direction to extend the blade, or in the B direction to retract the
blade. Observe the scale on the plunger cap to determine how far to
move the blade. When the knob is turned the distance of one scale unit,
the blade moves 0.1 mm (0.00397"). When it is given one full turn, the
blade moves 0.5 mm (0.001985").
