Components to annually inspect

The following components should be cleaned and inspected for damage on an

annual basis and replaced if necessary.
Carriage belt
Trailing cable
Service station seals and wipers
Motors
Cutters

Cleaning external areas

Clean external areas regularly or if ink is present on any surfaces. Use

distilled water.

LCD panel

Pen block

assembly base

Writing panel

Cleaning the slide shaft

Clean the slide shaft monthly using a cloth dampened with isopropyl

alcohol. The slide shaft is the cylindrical bar on which the cartridge

carrier rides.
