MAINTENANCE
6.1
Preparing for maintenance
Proceed as follows to prepare the system for maintenance:
1. Disarm totally the system.
2. Enable the Technician code with Master code (default 111111). Then exit the Master menu.
3. Using MEDEA control unit, enter the technical code (default 000000) and access the control unit
4. Using the keypad, enter the Installer code (default: 000000) and press the
MENU
button. The operating
menu is accessed and the system automatically switches to maintenance mode.
5. To confirm maintenance mode on the keypads, the LED
lights up steady on the keypad in use and
flashes on the other keypads
6. It is also possible to enter maintenance mode by setting DIP1 of SW2 to ON.
All alarms are disabled when the system is in maintenance mode.
To exit maintenance mode correctly from the configurator (see programming manual)
Or using the keypad, exit maintenance mode and return to normal operating conditions by holding the
ESC
button pressed until the message " EXIT MENU?" appears. Press
OK
to confirm.
If the configuration has been changed, the message " CONF. CHANGES?
” w pp ss
OK
to
confirm or
0
to restore the previous configuration.
It is also possible to put the system into permanent maintenance by setting DIP switch SW2-1 to ON.
The system will remain in maintenance mode for as long as this remains active.
IMPORTANT
DIP switch SW2-1 must be returned to the OFF position to exit the maintenance
status before testing the system.
6.2
Adding, replacing or removing a bus device
Proceed as follows to add, replace or remove a bus device:
1. Disconnect the concerned upstream BUS stretch.
2. Connect the new device to the BUS (or replace or remove an existing device).
3. Reconnect the previously disconnected BUS section.
4. Configure the new device by programming (see
Programming Manual
).
6.3
Identifying a Bus device
Proceed as follows to identify a bus device:
1. Access the MEDEA control configurator and select the respective peripheral device in the
Programming - Bus Peripherals menu.
2. Activate the Locate icon. The concerned peripheral device signals its position as follows:
•
Keypads: the signal LEDs light up in sequence and the buzzer sounds
•
Wired expansion modules: the PrIO LEDs light up in sequence and the buzzer sounds
•
Wireless expansion modules: the RUN LED lights up
•
Proximity readers: the green LEDs light up in sequence and the buzzer sounds
3. Tracking ends automatically after 10 minutes, and can be interrupted by selecting the STOP icon
6.4
Reset default settings
Reset operations allow one or more parameters to be reset to factory values, if necessary. The factory values
of the parameters are listed in the programming manual.
