Connection of ILT700 telephone interface
4.10.1
Connections
IMPORTANT The interface must be the first device connected to the incoming telephone line (all
other possible devices - fax, answering machine, telephones and any telephone switchboard - must
be downstream of the control unit).
This type of connection ensures that, if necessary, the control unit can always use the telephone
line, possibly excluding all other connected devices.
IMPORTANT Handle the twisted pair with care because voltage from the telephone exchange may
be present.
It is not necessary to take polarity into account when connecting the twisted pair to terminals L1 and L2 of
the interface.

The ILT700 interface must
be connected to earth (PE).
Use one of the Faston
terminals on the box wall for
the earth connection in
metal boxes.
It is advisable to install
additional protection (not
supplied) on the telephone
line, such as surge
arresters, if you are
operating in an environment
with a high risk of electric
shock on the telephone line.
