Broken bearing on the eccentric transmission
- The piston rod that moves the blade carriage back and forth is driven
by an eccentric. The connection between the two is a small, needle
roller bearing.
- If this bearing has broken apart or come loose, then the piston rod
would no longer be connected to the drive axle, meaning the blade
carriage would no longer be properly powered.
- Take off the cover of the blade carriage (read § 11.4.2.1.).
- Check whether the bearing is still intact.
- Perform the repairs or install replacements as needed.
