6.3 Set-up
The Edge Styler has two set-ups:
1. Working set-up
In configuring the styler for operating mode, the blade arm
should be tilted to its lowest position and locked in place. The
blade driver is active in this mode, in which case the blade
slices at a rate of 1,000 jabs per minute. In this mode, there is
an increased risk of cutting wounds. Therefore, the operator
should always operate the machine from the proper position
behind the steering.
2. Transport- or storage set-up
In this mode the blade arm is propped up (quasi vertically) in
its highest position. The blade driver is also decoupled, and
the blade does not move. This is considered a safety mode for
transporting the machine.

Warning:
All intermediary positions of the blade arm, meaning when positioned between
its two extremes, are considered to be in a transitional state and are, thereby,
limited in usefulness when the blade is thrust into the ground. These should not
be used whilst operating, transporting, stowing away, or performing maintenance
on the machine.
If the motor unexpectedly becomes engaged when the blade is intermediately
positioned, then the threat to safety and risk of slicing wounds becomes un-
equivocally real.
