Camera
z
Do not leave the camera under direct sunlight for a
long period of time. Do not point at the sun or a
powerful lamp directly. Doing so could lead to the
discoloration of photographed images or cause the
camera to malfunction.
z
Do not cover the lens with your fingers, hair, or the
strap when you shoot images.
z
Shooting consumes a large amount of the battery
power. It is recommended that you turn off the
camera immediately after you finish shooting. The
screen may look dark or blurred if you shoot
images when the battery is low.
z
You cannot change the volume or mute the shutter
sound, Auto timer tone or auto focus locked sound.
You cannot set a downloaded melody as the
shutter sound.
z
If the digital shake correction is set to “OFF”, the
FOMA terminal’s movement may cause a blurred
image when the image is shot. It is recommended
that you set the digital shake correction to “Auto”,
then shoot an image.
z
When shooting a still image, keep the FOMA
terminal steady after the shutter tone sounds until
loading the shot image finishes .
z
When you take pictures indoors, flickering may
appear due to the effect of fluorescent lighting, etc.
In such a case, adjusting the “Flicker” setting
appropriate to the local electric wave frequency
may suppress flickering.
z
After the shooting screen is opened, a camera is
switched or camera settings are changed, it may
take a while until the brightness and color tones
become optimized.
■

z
The indicator lights up or flashes as follows when
capturing:
• Shooting screen activated: Flash in red
• Photo mode, M-continuous mode: Light in red
(about 3 seconds)
• A-continuous mode: Light in red (shooting)
• Movie mode, Voice mode, Panorama mode:
Flash in red
• Auto timer activated: Flash in blue

■
Saving still images, movies, etc. you shot
z
The images, movies, etc. are saved to a folder
specified in “Select to save”.
z
Still images, movies, etc. you captured are saved
automatically when “Auto save set” is set to “ON”.
z
If the battery is low, you may not be able to save
still images, movies, etc. you shot.
z
If the power is turned off or the battery pack is
removed while saving files, incomplete files may be
saved.
■
When shooting is interrupted
z
Shooting is interrupted when you receive a voice/
videophone/PushTalk call or 64K data
communication, or alarm notification (Booking
program, Timer recording, Alarm, Schedule or To
Do list), or operate other functions.
• In Continuous mode or Movie mode, the shooting
is interrupted and the respective screen appears.
When you exit from the screen, the camera screen
reappears so that you can save data you shot
before receiving calls or alarm notification.
• When adjusting the zoom or brightness of the
camera, the setting is confirmed and the camera
menu reappears.
• The Auto timer is stopped.
z
The shooting is not interrupted in the following cases:
• When you receive mail or MessageR/F while
using the camera (or while the shooting screen is
open), the received result screen does not
appear and the shooting continues regardless of
the “Receiving setting”.
• When “Alarm setting” is set to “Operation
preferred”, you can continue shooting, make
settings or use the Auto timer without interruption
even when the alarm time comes. However,
“Timer recording” alarm works interrupting
shooting, settings or Auto timer.
■
When using a microSD card
z
While data is being saved to a microSD card, “
”
flashes. Do not remove the microSD card then.
Doing so may cause a malfunction to the FOMA
terminal or microSD card.
z
When “microSD” is selected in “Select to save” and
there is no folder in the microSD card, a folder is
created automatically.
z
If the number of files in the microSD folder selected
in “Select to save” has reached the maximum, you
cannot select the folder.
