— Terminates the DECmpp Sx data parallel unit (DPU) job manager,

Version 1.1

Syntax

etc/mpshutdown

Description

The

mpshutdown

command sends a termination signal to the data parallel unit

(DPU) job manager daemon,

dpumanager(8)

. When the job manager receives this

signal, it should send a hangup signal to all pending DPU jobs and then exit.

This is a shell script which should be run as root.

Diagnostics

The

mpshutdown

command exits with a nonzero code if:

•

It is unable to kill the job manager.

•

The job manager is not present.

•

It finds multiple instances of the job manager.
