Position engine retracted:
Retract the engine via the ignition switch. When the propellermount
touches the stop (at the upper part of the propellermount) the spindledrive
should not be switched off, but should move the powerplant backwards a
little before the position switch is actuated. This prevents the powerplant
from moving upwards with negative g-loads (flexibility of the rubber
mounts).
1.13 Fuel system
1.13.1 Layout

1.13.2 Tanks
1.13.2.1 Fuselage tank
The fuselage tank is permanently fixed and has 21 litres (5.55 US gal.)
capacity which can be used down to at least 0.5 l (0.13 US gal.). The tank
can be drained via a drainer located in the landing gear box at its rear wall.
The tank can be flushed after removing the drainer. The vent outlet of the
fuselage tank is at the bottom of the fuselage.
1.13.2.2 Wing fuel bags (Option)
In addition fuel bags may be installed in the wings, see section 1.13.9.
After opening the respective valve the content of the bag can be drained
into the fuselage tank.
1.13.2.3 Refuelling
Filling the fuselage tank may be done with the installed electric refuelling
pump.
A sensor (at the lower end of the fuel filler) switches off the electric power
to the pump when the fuel tank is filled completely and automatically
executes a calibration of the fuel gauge.
Filling is also possible via the fuel filler opening on the fuselage exterior
surface. No automatic calibration will be executed. A manual calibration is
possible see flight manual section 4.2.3.3.
1.13.2.4 Excess fuel line
Close to the carburettor an excess fuel line with built in restriction
separates and runs back to the fuel tank.
