User Manual UX11

7.2.1

Charging cable

A specific cable (part number FDG-000071) is required to safely charge the battery pack.

Connect the cable as follows:

Connect the charging cable bananas wires to the charger.

Connect the charging cable balancer wire to the charger.

Connect the balancer battery cable to the charging cable receptacle.

Note

The battery power wires are not used for charging.

7.2.2

Charger settings

The charger only has a safety timer setting and a buzzer setting to adjust.

Setting the safety timer

This setting sets the time limit after which the charger will stop the charge/discharge/cycle process.

You can increase or decrease this setting during the start-up procedure of the charger just after you

have plugged in the power cable. Good settings are:

• 180 min for normal charging or discharging of batteries.
• 65 min for cycle mode.

In this case the charger will end its cycle after 65 min. See

Cycle mode on page 41

for more

information on the cycle mode.

Setting the buzzer

This setting sets the buzzer sound (on or off). You can modify this setting during the start-up

procedure of the charger, just after you have plugged in the power cable.

7.2.3

Charging and discharging mode

In this mode you can select the battery type (UX11) and the charge state (30%, 50% or 100%).

• 30%: Use this setting for transporting your batteries by plane if required.
• 50%: Use this setting for (longer term) storage of the battery.
• 100%: Fully charged battery.

Press the

PROG/MODE

button until you see a screen similar to the one below:
