vPad-IV OPERATORS MANUAL

These settings are associated with the

USB or Bluetooth connection

to the Controller Module of the

vPad-IV system, which is the Module that is typically set to

channel one

.

To change the connection type from USB to Bluetooth (or visa versa), confirm the vPad-IV system is
powered up and running. Select

vPad-IV

under

Device Setup

on the left of

vPad Settings

. If changing

from Bluetooth connection to USB, make sure a USB cable is connecting the tablet to the Controller
Module before continuing. If changing from USB connection to Bluetooth, confirm the "Bluetooth name"
as shown by

vPad Settings

matches the Bluetooth ID of the Controller Module, which may be found on

the rear panel of the Module. If the name shown by

vPad Settings

does not match that on the back of the

Controller, press the selector to display a pop-up list of Bluetooth devices and change the name accordingly.

If the tablet's Bluetooth is OFF, or if the "Bluetooth name" of the Controller is not included in the pop-up
list shown by

vPad Settings

, then press the

Bluetooth Settings

button. This will open the Bluetooth

Settings menu of the tablet itself, from which you can enable the Bluetooth, and if necessary, pair the tablet
with the Controller by performing a search for nearby Bluetooth devices.

Other settings include those listed under

Printers and Accessories

(

Figure 45

). At the end of a test,

the vPad-IV app can print a maintenance inspection or "PM" tag for application to the infusion device. At
minimum, such tags will include the equipment ID and the date of the test, and will often include a due date
for the next inspection. To enable such printing, set

Enable label printing

in vPad Settings to "ON".
