M.A.Ch.10/100 Diagnostic Analyzer 09/00 33
Duplicate IP
The
Duplicate IP
test scans the network on which the M.A.Ch.10/100 is attached to
determine if there are any workstations or other devices that have been assigned the same
IP address.
Results are shown for the following:
•
MAC Address 1
•
MAC Address 2
•
IP Address
To run the test:
1. Connect the
Network Jack
of the M.A.CH.10/100 to a network segment with the
appropriate cable.
2. To access the Duplicate IP tab, select
Duplicate IP
under the
Tools
menu or click
the
icon.
3. Click
Duplicate IP
. The Duplicate IP property tab screen appears.

4. Click the
Start
button. The
M.A.Ch.10/100
reports back on all the IP addresses it
located. The results display in the Test Results area on the right-hand side of the
screen. Use this list to verify that all your addresses are correct and to make any
needed corrections to your network configuration.
5. Click
Stop
to end the test.
6. Click
or
Cancel
to exit the
TCP/IP Toolbox
screen.
