The You can set
Multi-Ping
to continuously verify your ISP connections.
There is a
Global List
that can be accessed from every site database, and there is a local
Site List
dedicated to hosts specific to this site. The
Global List
shows the IP host list
that is available for any site database. The
Site List
is a customized list of devices created
for a particular site. Several host lists can be created for each site.
The
Global List
resides externally to the M.A.Ch.10/100 software and cannot be edited
from within the M.A.Ch.10/100 software. Both the
Global List
and
the Site List
are
easiest to edit from a normal laptop or workstation keyboard. See the “readme.txt”
on the CD for additional information on accessing these files with a text editor.
Pinging Multiple Hosts
Once you have created and saved your
Global List
or
Site List
, you can then recall the
Multi-Ping list at anytime and ping multiple devices on your network to test that all hosts
are responding properly. See

.
To ping your selected devices:
1. Connect the M.A.CH.10/100 to a network segment with the appropriate cable
connected to the
Network Jack
of the M.A.Ch.10/100 board.
2. To access the Multi-Ping tab, select
TCP/IP
under the
Tools
menu or click the
icon.
3. Click
Multi-Ping
. The Multi-Ping property tab screen appears.

4. Choose the desired list of devices by selecting a list from the
Ping List Name
pull-
down menu.
5. Click the appropriate radio button,
Times
or
Continuously
to set how you want to
ping the devices. If you select
Times
, use the arrows to select the number of times
you want to ping the devices. If you select
Continuously
, use the arrows to select
the interval in seconds that you want attempt to ping the device.
6. Click
Ping
to begin the test. The results display on the right-hand side of the screen.
