IP Setup Properties
The M.A.Ch.10/100 allows the user to specify which IP settings will be used when
getting onto the local network. The IP settings are saved as
Site
specific data, allowing
you to have specific IP addresses, DNS and gateway information for each site that you
maintain. You may choose to use the DHCP server on your network to get your
operational information each time that you log on to the network. The selection of
Manual or DHCP is stored with the site database and will be automatically configured
each time you reopen the site for use.
If you choose an IP address manually, make sure this number fits into your site
networking scheme. Use the
Subnet Design
calculator under the IP toolbox if you need
help calculating IP address information.
1. To access the IP Setup Properties tab, select
Options
under the
Tools
menu.
2. Click
IP Setup
. The IP Setup Properties tab screen appears.

3. Select the desired IP address to be used for this project:
Use Manual IP Address
or
Use DHCP IP Address
.
4. Enter the
M.A.Ch. IP Address
,
Subnet Mask
,
DNS Address
,
WINS Address
and
the
IP Router Address
that you want to use to identify the M.A.Ch.10/100 when
running your tests.
5. When you are satisfied with your settings, click to return to main screen.
6. Click the
Save
button to make sure your new project settings have been saved.
