Chapter 7 Using Personal Information Managers 63
Inbox
You can send and receive e-mail messages in two ways in Inbox. First, you can send
messages in Inbox from a device and receive messages from Microsoft Outlook in a
desktop via ActiveSync.
Second, in using wireless/wired network, you can receive e-mail messages from POP3 and
send messages through SMTP server. DOT 320 uses the Pocket Mail Microsoft provided.
Before sending/receiving messages, you must connect DOT 320 to desktop PC with
ActiveSync and set the Inbox synchronization from the option.
To set inbox synchronization
1. In ActiveSync program on your desktop PC, on the Tools menu, click Options,
and then select the Inbox.
2. E-mail messages in the Inbox folder of desktop of Microsoft Outlook are copied
to the Inbox folder on your DOT 320. The E-mail messages between the
desktop PC and DOT 320 are linked, so when you delete an e-mail message
on your DOT 320, it will be deleted from your desktop PC the next time you
synchronize.
3. E-mail messages in the Outlook folder on your DOT 320 are transferred to the
Outbox in Microsoft Outlook on your desktop PC. The messages are sent the
next time you send mail from your desktop PC.
