OSPF Configuration Commands

config ospf area

Purpose

Used to configure an OSPF area

’

s settings.

Syntax

config ospf area <area_id> type
[normal/stub {stub_summary
[enabled/disabled]/metric <value>}]

Description

This command is used to configure an OSPF
area

’

s settings.

Parameters

<area_id>

−

The OSPF area ID.

type

−

Allows the specification of the OSPF

mode of operation

−

stub or normal.

stub_summary [enabled/disabled]

−

Allows

the OSPF area import of LSA advertisements
to be enabled or disabled.

<value>

−

The OSPF area stub default cost.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.

Usage Example

To configure an OSPF area
