Bootp Relay Commands

config bootp_relay

Purpose

Used to configure the BOOTP relay feature of
the switch.

Syntax

config bootp_relay {hops <value>} {time
<sec>}

Description

This command is used to configure the
BOOTP relay feature.

Parameters

hops <value>

−

Specifies the maximum

number of router hops that the BOOTP
packets can cross.

time <sec>

−

The minimum time in seconds

within which the switch must relay the
BOOTP request. If this time is exceeded, the
switch will drop the BOOTP packet.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.

Example Usage:

To configure bootp relay status.
