config arp_aging

Purpose

Used to configure the age-out timer for ARP
table entries on the switch.

Syntax

config arp_aging time <value>

Description

This  command  sets  the  maximum  amount
of  time,  in  seconds,  that  an  ARP  entry  can
remain  in  the  switch

’

s ARP table, without

being accessed, before it is dropped from the
table.

Parameters

time <value>

−

The ARP age-out time, in

seconds. The default is 20.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.

Example Usage:

To configure ARP aging time:
