Replacing the Safety Interlock Switch
This procedure can be performed with access to the front of the machine in production line.
This section shows the procedure performed when the machine is not in production line.

To replace the safety interlock switch
1. Turn off all electrical power to the system. For more information, refer to the section
“ Shutting Down the System ” on page 52.
2. Open the SE500
ULTRA
hood.
3. Make sure all motion has stopped.
4. Remove three screws to take off the cover to the safety interlock switch.

5. Disconnect the six wires in the box.
6. Remove the strain relief nut and pull the cable out of the switch.
Caution:
Turn the AC main circuit breaker to OFF to shut down all electrical power to the
SE500
ULTRA
unit before starting any replacement operations. See “ Shutting Down the System ” on
page 52 for this procedure.

Disconnect wires (steps 4 through 7
on 148) before removing the switch.
