7.2 Brine system schematic diagram

The diagram shows the main connection for the brine system. The fi lling
equipment is represented by the parts displayed with dashes. NB: Collector
hoses must have a bleeding facility as air pockets can occur. Always check
the fi lter (99) when fi lling and bleeding the brine system.
7.2.1 Post-installation check on brine system
After a few days, you must check the fl uid level in the vessel. Fill if necessary
and close the valve (98c) when fi lling.
7.2.2 Level/expansion vessel (96)
The level vessel should be fi tted to the incoming line from the borehole or
ground loop, at the system’s highest point. Bear in mind that the tank can
produce condensate on its exterior. Fit the safety valve (104) as shown in the
schematic diagram and fi t a suitable plug to the top of the vessel.
If the vessel cannot be fi tted at the highest point, a closed expansion vessel
can be fi tted.
7.2.3 Filler manifold with dirt fi lter
A fi ller manifold for topping up, adding and fi ltering brine. Arrows on the valve
housing indicate the fl ow direction. Close valves (98c) when cleaning the
fi lter. Unscrew the fi lter cap and fl ush the fi lter clean. When refi tting, the pin
under the fi lter should be fed into the designated hole in the fi lter housing.
Top up with a little brine, if necessary, before fi tting the cap. The fi lter should
be checked and cleaned after a short period of operation.
