7.3 Access Levels and User Modes
Corning® Ascent™ FBR system has three access levels: Default, Operator, and Engineer. When entering the username and password, a
keyboard will pop up (Figure 7-3). Table 7-3 shows the access at each user level.

Default Login:
When the system restarts or when the user logs out by selecting the padlock icon, the system reverts to Default login
which only allows view access to the process without change access.
Operator Login:
The Operator login allows access to basic functionality, but not to manually controlling components (such as pumps and
pinch valves), VPN, or other advanced features.
Engineer Login:
At Engineer level, the user can manually override control and equipment modules setpoints.

Table 7-4 shows the operation modes to perform either manual or semi-automated sequences for a flexible experiment.

Auto
The control loop input is the setpoint in engineering units.
Manual
The control loop input is set at a fixed percentage output.
