This section provides quick check lists when setting up the Corning® Ascent™ FBR PD System for running an experiment and at harvest.

Set up the MCV in the nest.

Install the media tubing lines in the orange and red valves.

Connect the MCV connections to the interface panel:

•  Agitator motor
•  MCV sparge and pressure lines
•  Exhaust filter heating blanket
•  MCV temperature sensor
•  Make sure media return line valve is turned off.

Set up the sensor tray:

•  Tilt sensors sideways prior to install.
•  MCV DO sensor – Blue clip
•  Close clamp on unused AseptiQuik® G connection at the sensor tray.
•  Check that clamps on sensor tray are not causing media line kinks.

Set up sterile connections between the MCV and FBR (either Lynx® or AseptiQuik® G connectors):

•  Make sure there are no kinks in the sterile tubing lines to the bioreactor.
•  If using Lynx® connectors, make sure they are fully engaged. Place the connectors on the nest bracket.
•  Place the bioreactor tray over the nest.

Set up the bioreactor:

• Manually clamp unused AseptiQuik® G connections.
• Connect the FBR temperature sensor.
