8.3.2 Media Removal Phase
1.
Select Auxiliary Phases.
Select Media Removal.
2. Install Media Waste bottle
Remove the media waste bottle from the sterile packaging and place in the bottle compartment.
3. AseptiQuik® connection
• Locate the media waste tubing line on the instrument, and aseptically connect to the Media
Waste bottle.
• Make sure the AseptiQuik® connectors are tightly mated to an audible click.
• Refer to AseptiQuik® connection procedure in Section 8.2.1.2.

Enter setpoints:
- Media Pump Flow Setpoint
- Media Removal Volume
• Press
to run Media Removal Phase.
• Press
to acknowledge prompt that Media Removal is complete
8.3.3 Media Addition Phase
This procedure shows how to add extra media to the MCV. The media addition bottle can be set up in advance (up to 24 hours) and
allowed to sit at room temperature. This allows for remote addition if desired.
NOTE:
The user is responsible for visually monitoring the media level in the MCV to ensure levels are not unintentionally rising above or
sinking below the expected level over time.
1. Install Media Addition bottle.
• If additional fresh media is required, set up a new Media Addition bottle in the bottle
compartment.
• Locate the Media Addition tubing line on the instrument, and aseptically connect to the fresh
Media Addition bottle.
• Refer to AseptiQuik® connection procedure in Section 8.2.1.2.
