ZONE TYPE
TYPE DESCRIPTION
24 HR
This type of zone will cause a 24 HR alarm if it is activated when the system/area is disarmed, and will cause
an intruder alarm when the system/area is armed. The control panel will also send a “24 hour” alarm signal
to the alarm receiving centre (if configured).
Panic
Normally used for panic or robbery alarm monitoring. This zone type causes a silent emergency alarm if it is
activated while the system/area is armed or disarmed.
Fire
Fire zones are always active. Fire zones generate a fire alarm.
Medical
“Medical” zones are always active. “Medical” zones generate a medical alarm.
Gas
“Gas” zones are always active. “Gas” zones generate a gas alarm.
Flooding
Flooding zones are always active. Flooding zones generate a water presence alarm. The RFH2O device is
configured by default to generate an alarm of this type.
Ambient
Ambient zones are always active. When they are triggered, these zones generate an ambient alarm. These
zones are designed for applications which monitor ambient conditions, such as temperature or humidity.
No motion
The “no motion” zones are used to monitor activity within the premises while the system is disarmed. If a “no
motion” zone has not been triggered within a specified period of time (0-72 hours), a “no motion” message
is sent to the alarm receiving centre (if programmed).
Fault
This type of zone generates a fault event which is stored in the event memory.
