Directions
Starting route navigation (either a new
destination or a saved route) enables the use of
directions, which let you know which roads to
use to arrive at the destination. Street names
and driving distance information is displayed in
a list on the Directions screen.
This provides a preview of the planned route.
1
On the Route information screen, tap the
[Directions] key.
This displays the Directions screen.
You can use this screen to check the route
you are traveling.
6-5-2
Detour Route
You can manually block certain segments on the
upcoming route from your current location, and
have the system produce a substitute detour
route that avoids the blocked segments. Perform
the following procedure to create a detour route
segment.
1
On the Route information screen, tap the
[Detour route] key.
This displays the Detour route screen.
2
On the list, select the distance you want.
Selecting a distance calculates a substitute
route and switches to the map screen
automatically. The map screen navigation
will refresh to show the rerouting. The
symbol on the map screen shows the start
point of the detour route. (Or the symbol
will show the start point of the distance you
selected for the detour route.) Navigation
will return to the planned route and
guidance will continue at the end of the
detour route.
Tap to delete all avoided routes.
