Language Settings
You can use the procedure below to configure
navigation language settings.

On the navigation settings screen, tap the
[Language settings] key.
This displays the Language settings
screen.
The following describes the settings and keys on
the screen.

Modifying the Map
Screen
You can modify the map screen that appears
during route guidance.

Displaying the Compass Screen

On the map display, tap
.

Tap .
This displays the Compass screen.
The current location is displayed as a compass
readout, with the bearing, latitude, and longitude
updated in real time in accordance with received
GPS signals. GPS reception quality is converted
to a value and displayed in the HDOP field. The
number of satellites whose signals are currently
being received is shown under the satellite
symbol.
The information bar at the bottom of the screen
shows the road you are traveling on and other
information.
Language
Select the language to use. This
setting is separate from the unit
language setting, and it affects
navigation only.
Keyboard
selection
Select the keyboard type to use.
This keyboard setting is separate
from the unit language setting, and
it affects navigation only.
TTS
Turns navigation audio on or off.
Select [Activated] or [Deactivated].
The initial default setting is
[Activated].
