9-1 Troubleshooting

Check the following items before contacting Clarion for repair.

If these items do not solve your problem, check the “Support” section of the portal site

(my.clarion.com).

General

Problem

Cause

Required Action

Power does not turn on.

When using the car adaptor for power:

There is poor connection between the car

adapter and cigarette lighter socket.

Remove any dirt and rust on the

cigarette lighter socket in the vehicle,

then insert the car adapter power

plug as far as it will go.

When using the battery pack for power:

The battery pack needs to be recharged.

Use the car adapter or AC adapter to

charge the battery pack.

When using the AC adapter for power:

The AC adapter is unplugged from the

power outlet.

Check the connection between the

AC adapter and power outlet.

Confirm the outlet is live with another

device.

When using the optional Car Dock

(NK1U) for power:

There is no connection with the Car Dock.

Make sure the unit clicks securely

into place when you mount it onto the

Car Dock.

You do not press the

power button but the unit

turns on.

You inserted the power plug while the car

adapter is connected.

You started the engine while the car

adapter and the cigarette lighter socket

are connected.

This unit is turned on by the

automatic start function and does not

indicate malfunction.
