To configure the network properties:
STEP 1
From the
Manager Menu
, click
Network
Properties
.
The
Network
Properties
page appears.
STEP 2
Set the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU), in bytes, in the
MTU
field. This is the
largest Ethernet frame that your network can handle. The default MTU size is 1500
bytes. MTU sizes greater than 1500 bytes are considered "jumbo frames".
STEP 3
To assign the link MTU size automatically using the DHCP server, click
Assign
automatically via DHCP
. In this case, the value entered in the MTU field is used as
a backup if the DHCP server does not provide an MTU value or if the server cannot
be reached.
STEP 4
Based on your network requirements, enable any of the following:
•
Advertise using UPnP
: The NSS is advertised within the network
using UPnP.
•
Advertise using Zeroconf/Bonjou
r: The NSS is advertised within the
network using Zeroconf/Bonjour.
STEP 5
Click
Update
