Installing a BBU in the Router
This section describes how to install a BBU in the router. A new BBU will be about 50% charged when
you receive it.
Caution
When you install a BBU in the router, if there is no AC power being supplied to the router, the BBU will
immediately begin to power the router when it is connected to the BBU harness cable.
To prevent the BBU charging the router prior to installation in the field, the BBU harness cable is
disconnected during shipment. To ensure the BBU can be charged and power the router when required,
connect the BBU harness cable prior to installation.
