To define the input channels of the encoder, the inputs can be combined to the following
groups:
1. Define input encoder channel 1 (line 1-5)
-
In this section the input channel for the line trigger / encoder channel 1 can be
selected from different external pins.
-
In this section only one option should be selected.
2. Define input encoder channel 2 (line 6-10)
-
In this section the input channel for the encoder channel 2 can be selected from
different external pins.
-
If only a one channel encoder is used, select a defined level on this pin (static low)
-
In this section only a single option should be selected.
3. Define enable signal of encoder (line 11-14)
-
This section allows you to define an external enable signal for the encoder mode.
(see also section 9.17.1)
-
If no external enable signal is used, select line 11 (default). The encoder is then
controlled with the camera setting
-
In this section only one option should be selected.
-
With Invert Input (Line 14) you could invert the line trigger / first encoder channel.
This could be helpful to match the scan direction forward/backward in free-running
mode and triggered mode.
4. Define ScanDir parameter (line 15-18)
-
This section allows you to define the automatic detection of the scan direction
-
In the first section the input channel for the external ScanDir can be selected from
different external pins.
-
Line 18 allows to invert the external ScanDir (see also section 9.7.2)
5. Define frame trigger input (line 19-24)
-
In this section the input channel for the fame trigger can be selected from different
CC-bits or external pins.
-
In this section only one option should be selected.
