Starling SV

Wi-Fi options screen

The purpose of this screen is to allow the user to set the Wi-Fi connectivity and

operate it. The user can enable/disable it, can select a network to connect to by

selecting it from the list, and if required, can enter a network password in order to

connect to. The user must make sure the Wi-Fi dongle is properly connected to the

STARLING SV’s USB port by verifying that the Wi-Fi Icon in the bottom of the

screen will indicate the connection status and signal strength.

A Wi-Fi indicator appears in the menu and indicates the Wi-Fi connection status. The

number of bars next to the stick indicates the signal strength so that 3 bars reflect
good strength

and no bars refelct no signal

. If the dongel is not connected

the following sign will appear

. If Wi-Fi is in enabled but not connected to a

network the following icon will appear

When selecting a network from the list described in figure 2.27, the same indicator

will appear with the same meaning, only that when a network is secured it will be
marked with a lock next to the Wi-Fi stick

, the dongel status and the Wi-Fi

enabele/disable status will not be reflected in the list.
