System Setup > Formulary Management > Formulary

2. In the Formulary dialog box, highlight the medication.

3. Click 

Edit

. The View/Modify Formulary dialog box appears.

4. Click the 

Formulary Options

 tab.

5. Check the 

Undocumented Waste 

box.

6. Click 

Save

.

7. Click 

OK

.

Configuring the multi-scan medication feature

The multi-scan medication feature must be configured at the console for this 
feature to be available on the Pyxis PAR

x

 system. The multi-scan feature is used 

on formulary items where all quantities of a particular item should be scanned for 
the pick, check, and/or pick and check processes. The multi-scan feature checks 
the status of the medication to determine if the functionality must be performed on 
the item during the Pick or Check or both the Pick and Check process.

How to set a multi-scan configuration

1. Log in on the console.

The main screen appears.

2. Select 

System Setup> Formulary Management>Formulary

 on the main screen.

3. Select the drug from the list by double-clicking it.

The View/ Modify Formulary screen appears. 

NOTE

The following configuration is performed by a CareFusion specialist: set the PAR

x
