Setting Up the System

Pyxis MedStation 4000 System Console User Guide

To customize the console name

1. Select

System Setup > Site Specific Options

.

2. In the Site Information dialog box, click the

Sources

tab.

3. Select the console to edit.

4. Click

Edit

to change the name of the console.

5. In the Edit Machine Name dialog box, update the name of the console and

click

Save

.

6. Click

Save

again.

7. When the confirmation message appears, click

OK

to return to the standby

dialog box.

The new name now appears in reports and selection lists that list console
names.

Viewing or modifying a medication warning

The purpose of the warning is to inform you that the requested medication should
not be removed because it would be too early or too late compared to the order
dose time, or too close compared to the previous removal. Too Close dialog box
warnings display for non-profile stations because the warning is comparing

NOTE

Do not change the Maintenance options without assistance from a CareFusion
representative.
