4.7 Placing the Cabinet on Foundation Pad
4.7.1 Remove the anchor (machine) bolts and washers from the concrete pad (Fig. 20). Save the bolts
to attach the cabinet to the concrete pad.
4.7.2 Lift the cabinet. Maintain the cabinet in a level position parallel with the rubber pad. Lower the
cabinet onto the rubber pad. Align the cabinet with the anchor bolts (Fig. 19). Make sure the
cabinet is clear of the conduits rising from the concrete pad. After the cabinet is lowered on the
pad, it should be in proper position over the rubber pad and conduit. The rubber pad should
stick out about

4.7.3 When the cabinet is aligned properly on the rubber pad, reinstall the eight anchor bolts from the
concrete pad, the eight large square mounting washers, and round flat washers supplied with
the cabinet. Tighten all bolts securely. When the cabinet is secured, remove the slings, the tag
line, and the four lifting eye bolts. Replace the eye bolts with the nylon hex-head bolts included
in the loose parts package of the cabinet.
CAUTION
If the cabinet will not be equipped and powered up for an extended period, to prevent conden-
sation, place a 300-watt internal heat source (for example, two 150 watt light bulbs wired in
parallel) in the cabinet.
